Mayflower Counseling provides specialized couples counseling in Colorado for couples navigating pregnancy loss, infant loss, stillbirth, termination for medical reasons (TFMR), and the emotional challenges of parenting and perinatal mental health.

Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) is an evidence-based, short-term psychotherapy intervention designed to help clients process and heal from trauma by retelling their life stories.

NET has been shown to support clients experiencing PTSD, depression, and other mental health conditions. Research indicates that NET can reduce trauma symptoms, improve quality of life, and help clients develop a more positive outlook.

I have specialized training in applying NET to support clients during the perinatal period, including those who have experienced pregnancy-related or perinatal trauma.

One of the strengths of NET is that it is a structured, time-bound, and highly effective intervention for long-term trauma recovery. After initial rapport-building sessions, we work collaboratively to create a session timeline—most commonly 10–12 sessions—while following the NET model to guide the therapeutic process.

I understand that personal faith can be an important part of the healing journey. For clients who wish to incorporate their faith into counseling, I offer faith integration as part of the therapeutic process. I also fully respect and honor the choice of clients who prefer not to include faith in their therapy
