Are you navigating a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia diagnosis in Colorado?

As a mother who heard the words “CDH” for the first time during a 24-week scan, I understand how devastating this diagnosis can feel. In an instant, you go from navigating a typical pregnancy to hearing unfamiliar and overwhelming terms—MFM, fetal surgery, fetal care center, ECMO—among so many others. You begin to realize your days will be filled with appointments and impossible decisions. Do we pursue the FETO procedure? Do we relocate? Where do we even turn for help?

My daughter, Lily, was born on April 19, 2021—International CDH Awareness Day. While her condition was further complicated by additional diagnoses and her premature birth at 28 weeks, her life, though brief, and our journey through CDH changed us forever.

In honor of Lily, it is a deep privilege to offer counseling to mothers, fathers, and couples navigating a CDH diagnosis. I know firsthand how vital it is to have a space where you can process the weight of this diagnosis, the decisions ahead, and the trauma that can accompany medical appointments, interventions, and an anticipated NICU journey.

You deserve support that does not require you to explain every detail, every acronym, every fear. You deserve a space where your experience is already understood—a space that is steady, informed, and compassionate.

If you are navigating a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia diagnosis and reside in Colorado, I invite you to reach out for support. You do not have to carry this alone.
